Canada international Jim Brennan joined the Canaries in the summer of 2003 and played 15 games during his first season at Carrow Road, as City clinched the Nationwide First Division championship title and promotion to the Barclays Premiership.
Aged 28, Jim started his career in this country with Bristol City before moving on to Nottingham Forest. It was at the City Ground that he developed the reputation as an attacking left-back with an eye for goal.
An experienced player who normally operates at left-back but also has the ability to perform in midfield, Jim's flexibility has seen him become a valuable member of the Canaries' squad.
Jim's Canary career began frustratingly, as a deep-seated abductor muscle injury delayed his debut at the start of the 2003-04 season.
A number of minor injuries last season subsequently limited him to just six starts in the 2004-05 Barclays Premiership campaign and he will be hoping to make a bigger impression on the first-team picture in 2005-06.
