Previous Club(s):None
Squad No(s):1

Robert became only the sixth Norwich City player to be capped for England when he appeared as a substitute against Columbia in the United States in June 2005. A much underrated goalkeeper, he can make even the most difficult of saves appear straightforward by virtue of his excellent positional sense and his imposing presence. Very good in one on one situations and with absolutely first class reflexes, it was no surprise that he retained his place in the England squad throughout the season. He was named as one of three 'keepers in the final England 2006 World Cup squad only for injury to prevent him from travelling to Germany for the finals. This former Norwich City apprentice passed 200 league appearances for the club during the 2005-06 season.

A product of the Canaries' youth system Robert Green has progressed through the ranks at Carrow Road to become recognised as one of the best young goalkeepers in the country.
After making his Canary debut in the dramatic setting of a local East Anglian derby back in 1999, Robert had to patiently bide his time as understudy to Andy Marshall before establishing himself as City's Number One at the start of the 2001-02 season.
Robert played a starring role in City's 2003-04 First Division championship-winning campaign, and a memorable season saw him come third in the Club's Player of the Year award and also earn his first call-up to the England squad.
Promotion to the Barclay's Premiership for the 2004-05 season saw Robert take his talents to the top level, where he continued to impress and establish himself as a regular in the England squad.
An agile, commanding and impressive 'keeper, Robert made his international debut during England's recent tour of the US, coming on as a half-time substitute in the 3-2 victory over Columbia in New Jersey on May 31, 2005.
Robert has all the necessary qualities to become England's Number One for years to come.
