Darren ended the 2005-06 season as runner-up to Gary Doherty in Norwich City's 'Player of the Year' voting. His scintillating performances on the left flank were a real highlight for the fans as he continued to make life miserable for Championship defences up and down the country. His electric pace and superb close control when in full flight make him almost impossible to keep quiet for ninety minutes. A real provider of goals for others, he still weighed in with eight league goals including a particularly sweet winner at Portman Road and a rare headed goal against Queens Park Rangers at Carrow Road. A true Canary hero, his place in Norwich City legend was confirmed in March 2006 when he was elected to join the Club's Hall of Fame.

Darren Huckerby enjoyed yet another highly successful season with the Canaries, which ended with the jet-heeled striker landing the prestigious 2004-05 Player of the Year award.
Darren played in all but two of the Canaries' Barclays Premiership fixtures, scoring six goals and laying on countless others for his team-mates.
Whether employed as an out-and-out striker or drifting in from the left, Darren caused havoc among many Premiership defences last season. In fact, statistics confirmed he ended the campaign as the Premiership's most fouled player.
After joining the Canaries from Manchester City last season, Darren has turned in countless match-wining performances and has become a real crowd favourite at Carrow Road.
With an abundance of experience from spells with Lincoln City, Newcastle, Coventry, Leeds and Manchester City to call upon, Darren is viewed as one of the senior members of Nigel Worthington's squad, and the Carrow Road faithful will be looking for even more exciting performances from him in 2005-06.
