Craig extended his proud record of not missing a game for the Canaries to an impressive 101 games before losing his place in the team in mid-September 2005. A tremendously consistent defender, his experience and awareness, allied to his competitive nature make him a very tough opponent. Primarily a central defender, Craig was also utilised at right-back later in the season, when he enjoyed the extra freedom to link up with his midfield and attack. His loyalty and unstinting service to Norwich City have been rewarded with a testimonial year in the 2006-07 season which will hopefully be well supported following his 370 senior appearances for the Club.

Club Captain Craig Fleming enjoyed an ever-present season during the Canaries' 2004-05 Barclays Premiership adventure.
After joining the Club from Oldham Athletic in the summer of 1997, Craig has been the linchpin of the Canaries' defence, and in October 2004 celebrated his 300th game for the Club.
His consistency and commitment to the Canary cause saw him voted Player of the Year at the end of the historic 2003-04 championship-winning campaign, and he carried his good form into 2004-05.
Craig started last season with Simon Charlton as his central defensive partner and then had a spell alongside Gary Doherty before young Jason Shackell broke into the team at the tail end of the season.
Craig clearly had a major impact on the development of young Jason and was always on hand with words of advice for the youngster, who made such an impression upon his elevation to the first team.
With a testimonial season on the horizon, Craig will be looking to continue his impressive Carrow Road career as his number of appearances heads towards the 400 mark.
