Damien Francis enjoyed a memorable first season at Carrow Road after joining the Club from Wimbledon in the summer of 2003.
A strong and athletic midfielder, Damien's box-to-box running and robust tackling skills have won him many admirers.
He took to the Barclays Premiership scene like a duck to water in the opening four months of the 2004-05 season, scoring four goals from midfield - including a brace as City recorded their first League win of the season over Southampton in November.
Sadly, a freak facial injury sustained after a training ground collision sidelined Damien until New Year's Day, when he returned to the side with a goal in City's 1-1 draw at Portsmouth.
Damien weighed in with two more goals in the second-half of the season, including a vital winner over West Bromwich Albion in February but his all round game never reached the dizzy heights that he produced in the opening months of the season.
With seven goals from midfield and a runner-up slot in the Player of the Year awards, 2004-05 was a great success for Damien Francis.
